𝐀 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐌 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝 🇳🇴

Returning from the #EURAM2026 Annual Meeting in beautiful Kristiansand, Norway, I am reflecting on a truly inspiring week filled with insightful research, meaningful conversations, and a wonderful academic community 🎓

I got the chance to present the paper, '𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳?', in which Arjan van Dorsselaer, Christiana Weber and I study 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 in 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 through a 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐬 🔍

My presentation was part of the session "𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘥𝘴 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘗𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘢" in T12_08, giving me the rare opportunity to discuss my work with an audience of researchers passionate about Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) and configural thinking 💡 The feedback, questions, and discussions around my project were deeply valuable, provided new perspectives that will help me further develop this research, and most of all reassured me that what we are doing matters. A big thank you to the session organizers, chair Aleksandra Rudawska, and all other presenters and attendees for creating such an engaging environment for exchange and learning 🌱

Beyond my own presentation, one of the highlights of EURAM was experiencing the sheer incredible diversity of research presented across the conference. This was my first EURAM and with around 1.800 attendees by far the biggest conference I ever attended. From entrepreneurship to organizational studies and beyond, the variety of perspectives, methods, and ideas was simply overwhelming, and in the best way 🚀
Meeting researchers from different countries, exchanging ideas over a bite or some coffee, continuing conversations after sessions, and sharing moments during the socials reminded me once again why academic conferences are about much more than presentations 🤝

And of course, Kristiansand itself provided a beautiful backdrop for this experience, from the welcoming campus of the University of Agder (UiA) to the coastline, this quaint but lively town made every day special 🌅

Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas, time, and enthusiasm. I leave EURAM 2026 with fresh inspiration, new connections, and renewed motivation for the next steps of my PhD journey.
