CURRICULUM VITAE
Christiana Weber holds the chair for Management and Organization Theory at the Leibniz University Hanover, Germany. Christiana Weber researches and consults at the intersection of innovation management, (social) entrepreneurship/sustainability, and social network theory. Further, her research interest lies in organization theories, (inter-)organizational learning and knowledge transfer as well as reciprocity and corporate venture capital.
Christiana Weber studied social and business communications at the University of Fine Arts Berlin, Germany (MSc) and at the University Stendhal Grenoble, France as well as management science at the Technical University Berlin, Germany and at the University of Berkeley, USA. Christiana Weber holds her PhD in Sociology from the Technical University Berlin/Social Science Research Center, Berlin (WZB).
From 1996-2001, Christiana Weber held several leadership positions at the publishing house Gruner & Jahr (G+J), which belongs to the Bertelsmann Group. Among others, she was responsible as Investment Manager for G+J Multimedia Ventures. In her last position, she build up the Corporate Venture Capital group with the strategic corporate development unit of G+J.
Christiana Weber teaches Strategy, Organization Theories, Social Network Theories, Innovation Management, International Management and (Social) Entrepreneurship. She has taught on the faculty of Bucerius Law School, European Business School, University Hamburg, and University of Fine Arts, Berlin, Germany. She is a review member of several academic journals and the author of several books and edited volumes as well as over 30 articles and book chapters. Her research has appeared in such journals as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, Scandinavian Journal of Management, and others.
